What do we do with all our data?
This morning we put the MA ewes through the scale to record current Liveweight, Body condition score, Lambing week and Scanning rank. These are just a few of the records we take on animals throughout the year.
All of our data is checked by Zoetis Genetics NZ before it is loaded into the SIL database. Where all of the data points we have collected and recorded feed into the calculation of industry standard breeding values. Having our data recorded and backed up by SIL means it is safe, DNA testing all of our stock means we know who is who and we can stand behind the breeding values generated.
